This release lowers the barrier to entry with personal account signup, adds read-only cluster import for safer evaluation, introduces guided onboarding for new organizations, and adds a preflight check for Kubernetes version upgrades.

1. Individual (Personal) Account Signup​

Users can now sign up with a personal email (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.) and get a private workspace without needing a company email.

What's New

  • A private workspace is created automatically, with the user as its admin
  • Includes the free Personal plan:
    • 1 cluster
    • 1 cloud account
    • 1 project
    • AI features disabled
    • Cost optimization limited to recommendations (no automated remediation)
  • Personal workspaces are single-user only — team collaboration requires an organization account

This gives individuals a quick way to try Atmosly without needing a company email or team setup.

2. Read-Only Cluster Import with Upgrade Option​

Users can import existing Kubernetes clusters in read-only mode to evaluate Atmosly before granting write access.

  • View nodes, pods, workloads, events, storage, and metrics without installing agents or making cluster changes
  • A safe way to evaluate production clusters with minimal permissions
  • Upgrade to Full Access with one click to enable deployments, pipelines, auto-remediation, and agents
  • If additional permissions are required, Atmosly identifies the missing policies and provides them before the upgrade

This lets teams evaluate Atmosly on production clusters with confidence, before committing to write access.

3. Guided Organization Onboarding​

New organizations are automatically created during signup and guided through initial setup.

  • The UI guides users through key setup steps, helping them get started quickly

This streamlines the path from signup to a working setup for new organizations.

4. Cluster Version Upgrade Preflight Check​

Users can run a preflight compatibility check before upgrading their Kubernetes cluster version to identify potential issues in advance.

What's New

  • Install the Debug Agent to enable preflight checks
  • Analyze the cluster for upgrade readiness, including deprecated APIs, compatibility issues, and other upgrade risks
  • Receive actionable recommendations to resolve issues before performing the Kubernetes version upgrade, helping reduce the risk of upgrade failures

This helps teams catch upgrade-breaking issues ahead of time and reduces the risk of failed Kubernetes version upgrades.
